Lee's Lair

Hello...and welcome to my home in cyberspace!

Let me tell you about myself...

I am a lifelong New Englander living in the eastern half of Massachusetts. I have lived in west Texas and West Virginia...but, my heart has always remained in New England.

I love sports-especially baseball and basketball. Also, I like soccer (known as football elsewhere) ...World Cup...and horse racing...specifically the Triple Crown (in the USA). How about 'American Pharaoh' and Justify in 2018????  It was great to have a triple crown winner again in 2015 and 2018!

I am an ardent Red Sox and Celtics fan. I, like all Red Sox fans, celebrated the World Series win in 2004-it had been 86 years between wins. The 2007, 2013 and 2018 Championship wins were welcome too. Finally, The Chicago Cubs won the World Series for the first time in 108 years! The Celtics wining their 17th NBA Championship after a fairly long period of time was exhilarating also.

I have other interests...music (except for Country and Metal-Industrial), current events, history, politics, good fiction, mysteries and non-fiction, poetry and travel. Other interests of mine include technology-computing, green solutions for vehicles, buildings and energy, astronomy and science in general.

I indulge in good wine, beer and ale and food.  I watch a lot of PBS (I had Downton Abbey fever ;-)), and love the mysteries....Mid Somer Murders, Father Brown, Miss Fisher's Murder Mystery and so many others, I listen to NPR often...and BBC World News...and programs such as The Moth and Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me.

I also enjoy designing websites and manipulating digital pictures (still learning how to do it...) and always appreciate a good quote or factoid.
